Tulsa Golf League
The Tulsa Golf League continues playing in 2008 at Page Belcher and Mohawk Park, with tournaments played monthly and on weekends throughout the season. Events alternate between the Woodbine course at Mohawk Park, and the Stone Creek and Old Page courses at Page Belcher.
Participation
- Tournaments are open to any golfer (male or female) with a VALID USGA GHIN Handicap.
- If a participant does not have a valid USGA GHIN handicap, he or she may register and establish one at either Page Belcher or Mohawk Park. The annual fee for handicap service is $25. All players will play to a scratch handicap until doing so.
Tournament Sign Up
- The tournament entry fee is $15 per tournament, plus full greens fee and cart fee.
- Lunch is included as part of the entry fee for all tournaments.
- All players must sign up by 5pm the Monday prior to the tournament, either in-person or by calling the course directly.
- Please have your name, GHIN number, and entry fee when you sign-up.
- Pairings will be available after 12pm the Friday before the event.
Cancellations and Tournament No Shows
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance or all entry fees will be forfeited.
- A minimum of 16 players must be registered for an event to take place.
Tournament Prizes
- Tournament prizes totalling 30% of the field will be given in the form of Gift Cards redeemable at both Page Belcher and Mohawk Park for merchandise, greens fees, or food and beverage.
- An optional skins game and hole-in one pool will be available.
Handicaps
- Handicaps will be recorded and computed year round.
- In the event a player tees off in a tournament and fails to turn in a scorecards for that round, other than for an emergency, his or her average score shown in the handicap record will be posted to his handicap record.
- A maximum handicap of 30 will be used for each event.
Tees
- Men 59 and under play from the Burgundy tees.
- Men 60 and older (AND having a handicap of 15 or more) play from the Green tees.
- Women play from the Silver tees.
Rules
- USGA rules apply for all events.
- Red paint lines or stakes denote Lateral Water Hazards.
- Yellow paint lines or stakes denote Regular Water Hazards
- If no paint lines or stakes are visible, then the normal water line becomes the edge of the water hazard.
- The ball is to be played down throughout the entire course.
- All players must hole out; no gimmies allowed.
- All players must play in 4 hours and 15 minutes or less.
- A player’s scorecard must be kept by another player in his group. Scorecards must be signed and attested by the scorer and the player BEFORE turning scorecard in at the scoreboard. This is to be done for all individual events.
- Scorecards for team events must be signed by all players in the foursome.
- Only four players are allowed per group.
